Dalmore 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt bottled at 40% ABV. It is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks.
The distillery stands on the shore of the Cromarty Firth and was founded by Sir Alexander Matheson in 1839.
The nose is full and fruity, with orange, apple, cinnamon and caramel, plus touches of vanilla and light oak. The palate has a full body and balances sweetness with spice, bringing dark chocolate, orange peel, coffee and a little smokiness. The finish is long, with a hint of spicy oak.
