This is a 12 year old single malt from Dalmore in the Highlands, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It spent its first nine years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. Half of the whisky was then moved into ex-Oloroso sherry casks for the final three years, giving sweetness alongside rich sherry character.
The nose offers orange, marmalade and aromatic spices. The palate is elegant and full-bodied, with citrus, Oloroso sherry and hints of sweet vanilla pod. The finish is long and complex.
