Dalmore 15 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured first in ex-bourbon American white oak, then finished in sherry. After twelve years in bourbon casks, the whisky is divided between Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks for a further three years, then married together in a sherry butt. It is bottled at 40% and has been made since 2007.
On the nose, orange marmalade comes with cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate brings mandarin and vanilla alongside ginger and crushed apple, and the finish is caramelised orange with strong dark chocolate.
