Dalmore – 18 Years (70cl, 43%)

A Highland single malt from Dalmore, aged 18 years and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It comes in the bottle with the silver stag's head. The whisky spent its first 14 years in ex-bourbon casks of American white oak. It then had a further four years in Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks from the Spanish house Gonzalez Byass, with the last of those years spent in casks stored upright. The nose offers orange fruit with sherry, creamy vanilla, a little chocolate and cinnamon. On the palate sherry, honey and oak are joined by cinnamon, a hint of truffle and coffee. The finish is long, with cinnamon, cocoa and nutmeg.
