Dalmore Port Wood Reserve is a Highland single malt from the distillery at Alness, bottled at 46.5% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is first aged in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then matured further in aged Tawny Port pipes.
The nose brings sweet red berries, Seville oranges and plummy fruit, wrapped in a sticky toffee pudding richness. The palate is silky, with nectarines, creamy caramel and roasted chestnuts, followed by a warming note of Java coffee. The finish is long and fruit-driven, with plums, sultanas and blood oranges alongside macerated cherries and soft oak spice.
