This is a 15 year old Highland single malt from Dalwhinnie, part of the Classic Malts range. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matures in refill bourbon casks of American oak. It is described as soft and honeyed, with a long finish that turns gradually smoky and malty.
The nose is expressive, clean and dry, with heather and a hint of peat. The palate is soft and smooth, with lasting heather honey sweetness and vanilla, followed by sharper citrus and a trace of malt bread. The body is light to medium. The finish is long and surprisingly intense, starting sweet before smoke, peat and malt come through.
