Darkness 8 Year Old (2019) Oloroso Sherry Octave Finish

This is an 8 year old Scotch single malt from Darkness, finished in Oloroso sherry octave casks. The smaller octaves put the whisky in closer contact with the wood, which gives a deep, sweet and full sherry profile in a short time. The nose offers dark raisins, caramel, cocoa and a hint of orange peel. The palate is rich and powerful, with thick sherry notes, brown sugar, nuts and warm spices. The finish is medium-long and sticky sweet, with a hint of dark chocolate.
