Daviess County Kentucky Straight Bourbon is bottled at 48%, or 96 proof, in a 75cl bottle. The Daviess County name was originally established in 1874 and is now made by Lux Row Distillers.
It is made from two mash bills, one wheated and one high-rye, and aged in new charred American oak barrels.
The nose offers honey, caramel and oak, with vanilla, spice and baked apple. On the palate are sweet corn, butterscotch and toasted oak, with cinnamon, pepper, toffee and orange peel. The finish is long, warm and dry, with caramel, vanilla and oak spice.
