Deanston – 15 Year Old Tequila Cask Finish (70cl, 52.5%)

This is a 15 year old single malt Scotch from Deanston, a limited-edition release bottled at 52.5% in a 70cl bottle. It was first matured in traditional oak hogsheads, then finished in agave tequila casks. The casks previously held 100% agave tequila made from blue agave grown in the Altos (Highlands) region of Jalisco. They held that style of tequila for four to five fills, bottled as both Reposado and Añejo. The fruity, floral notes from these casks are said to complement Deanston's citrusy, waxy character.
