This is an independently bottled Highland single malt Scotch whisky from Ardnamurchan, selected by Decadent Drinks. It was distilled in 2015 from heavily peated spirit and matured for ten years in a first-fill sherry hogshead. It was bottled in 2025 at 55% ABV.
Peat and sherry maturation together give an intensely smoky, rich and savoury whisky. Tasting notes describe tar and earthy peat on the nose, opening into dark sherry, smoked marmalade, pine resin and charred spice. The palate is rich and oily, with powerful peat smoke, sherry sweetness and smoked citrus. The finish is very long and warming, with tar, resin and dark fruit.
