This is a 10 year old single malt from Smögen, distilled in 2014 and bottled at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is the first of two Smögen bottlings in the Decadent Drams series.
The whisky spent just over eight years in a first fill Madeira hogshead. It was then re-racked into a refill hogshead to round it off gently and keep the Smögen character to the fore.
It is described as big, peaty and classically Smögen, with a Madeira twist. The strength was brought down by a couple of degrees for bottling.
