Del Maguey Chichicapa Mezcal

A mezcal from Del Maguey named after the village of Chichicapa, south of Oaxaca. The village lies two hours away along a dirt road, cut off from the Oaxaca valley by a mountain range, with a climate that is part tropical and part desert. It was distilled by the maestro mezcalero Faustino Garcia Vasquez and follows the old, traditional methods of production. The nose is pleasantly light, with delicate, subtle scents. The palate is deep, with plenty of citrus and complex turns. The finish is long, bringing smoky notes with hints of chocolate and mint.
