Delord 1986 Armagnac

A vintage Armagnac from Delord, distilled from a single harvest year, 1986, in the Bas-Armagnac region and aged for many years in oak casks. Because it comes from one year only, it carries the character of that vintage rather than the blended style of a house assemblage. The nose shows dried fruit, plum, vanilla and soft spices, with woody, lightly toasted touches. The palate is soft and enveloping, with candied fruit, caramel, cocoa and spice in a silky, balanced texture. The finish is long and warm, woody, spiced and slightly sweet. It is best sipped neat at room temperature.
