Dingle Single Malt Batch 5 is the fifth release of single malt Irish whiskey from Dingle Distillery. It was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, Pedro Ximenez sherry and Madeira wine casks, and is bottled at 46.5% in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is of dried fruit and chocolate peanuts, with nutmeg and ginger developing. On the palate come honeycomb, malt and vanilla, leading into soft oak warmth, with raspberry and cherry growing in the background and cinnamon appearing later. The finish is of Mars Bars, oatcakes and dry cedar spiciness.
