Doc Holliday 13 Year is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from the World Whiskey Society, part of a series paying tribute to the Wild West gambler and gunfighter John Henry Doc Holliday. It was aged for 13 years in new charred American oak, then finished in Armagnac casks.
It is bottled uncut at cask strength, generally around 108 proof (54%), with the strength varying slightly from barrel to barrel. The release is numbered and limited.
The nose offers dried figs, Armagnac-soaked raisins, caramel and toasted oak. The palate is full and layered, with vanilla, dark cherries, plum, baking spice, leather and pipe tobacco, followed by a long, velvety finish of deep fruit, oak and soft sweetness.
