Don Q Zinfandel Cask Rum (70cl, 40%)

A Puerto Rican rum blended from rums distilled between 2009 and 2012. One part was distilled after about 40 hours of fermentation in a multi-column still, the other after about 60 hours in a Vendome single column still. The first maturation took place until 2018 in ex-bourbon casks, followed by a finish in casks that previously held Californian Zinfandel wine, lasting exactly three years and eleven months. The rum matured entirely in the Caribbean. It is limited to 6000 bottles. It shows notes of vanilla, citrus fruits, dry wood, tobacco and caramel. The rum is very smooth, round and complex.
