Doubleday Baseball Bourbon (75cl, 45%)

Doubleday Baseball Bourbon is a straight bourbon whiskey from Cooperstown Distillery in Cooperstown, New York, bottled at 45% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The bourbon is sourced from Indiana, blended at the distillery from a mashbill of corn, rye and malted barley, and matured for over two years in new American oak barrels. It is bottled in a patented handblown glass baseball with 108 raised stitches, an ash wood stopper and a pedestal base shaped like a baseball diamond. The packaging won Gold Medals for Creativity, Form and Style at the 2019 International Review of Spirits Packaging Competition. The nose offers caramel, toasted oak, vanilla bean and dried fruit. The palate brings buttery toffee, sweet corn and cinnamon, and the finish is medium, with vanilla, butterscotch and a little pepper.
