The Gauldrons is a Campbeltown blended malt from Douglas Laing, part of its Remarkable Regional Malts range. The name means "Bay of Storms" and refers to the dark, stormy coves on Campbeltown's west shores. It is a marriage of Campbeltown malts, bottled in very small batches at 46.2% ABV, without colouring or chill-filtration. The nose opens with sea air, gentle smoke, manuka honey and a hint of dried seaweed. On the palate a maritime character leads to sugary shortbread, dried oak and gristy cereals. The finish is spicy, with puffs of smoke, Madagascan vanilla and cinnamon pancakes.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
