The Gauldrons is a Campbeltown blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, part of its Remarkable Regional Malts range. The name refers to the dark, stormy coves on Campbeltown's west shore, and means 'Bay of Storms'. It is a marriage of Campbeltown malts, bottled in very small batches at 46.2% in a 70cl bottle, without colouring or chill-filtration. The nose opens with sea air, gentle smoke, manuka honey and a little dried seaweed. The palate is maritime at first, then sugary shortbread, dried oak and gristy cereals. The spicy finish brings puffs of smoke, Madagascan vanilla and cinnamon pancakes.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
