A single cask Texas single malt from the Balcones distillery in Waco, bottled in France by Dumangin. It was distilled in 2017 from a mash of a local strain of Blue Corn.
The whisky spent four years in its first cask, then a further 21 months in a Ratafia Champenois barrel. It was bottled in August 2023 at 46.7%, without chill filtration, and only 266 bottles were filled.
The palate is full, with sweet tea, burnt marshmallow, cinnamon candies and marmalade. The finish is very long, with oak and pepper, followed by cardamom and roasted sweet corn.
