This is a single cask Knockdhu from Speyside, bottled by the independent bottler Duncan Taylor exclusively for the German market. It matured from 2012 to 2023, eleven years in all, and was then finished in a sherry octave cask. Only 91 bottles were filled.
It was bottled at 54.6% ABV, unfiltered and without added colour.
The nose is sweet and creamy, with honey, citrus fruit and spice. On the palate there is honey, apples and pears, with caramel and ginger behind. The finish is long, with nuts and toffee, followed by dried fruit and spice.
