Dunville's 1808 is a blended Irish whisky in a 70cl bottle. It brings together malt, grain and pot still whiskeys, matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks. The Dunville's brand was revived by Echlinville Distillery in Northern Ireland, and the name marks 1808, the year its story began in Belfast.
The nose offers sweet vanilla, crisp apple and pear, lemon curd and candied lemon peel. The palate is soft and creamy, with buttery cereal, baked biscuit, ripe citrus and a little white pepper. The finish is dry and smoky, with juicy fruit and lingering sweet spice.
