E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Whiskey (75cl, 50%)

A Kentucky straight bourbon from the E.H. Taylor, Jr. range, drawn from individually selected barrels in a 750ml bottle. It is bottled in bond at 100 proof (50%). The range honours Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., who bought what is now Buffalo Trace Distillery and campaigned for the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. He also introduced climate-controlled warehouses, including Warehouse C, built in 1885. The bottle follows the shape of his original design. The nose brings lightly toasted oak, dried figs and butterscotch. On the palate, sweetness is balanced by tobacco and dark spices, and the finish is moderate in length.
