This is a 10-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from Eagle Rare, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a single selected barrel, number 048, rather than a blend of many.
The nose has toffee, orange peel, herbs, honey, leather and oak. The palate is bold, dry and oaky, with candied almonds and very rich cocoa, and the finish is dry and lingering.
