Eagle Rare 10 Year Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Buffalo Trace Distillery, here in the long bottle. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with no added colour.
Ten years in new American white oak casks give the bourbon its dark amber colour.
The nose is honey, toffee and orange peel, with spicy tobacco and fine oak. On the palate come ripe apple, raisin and citrus, followed by coconut, almond and creamy vanilla. The finish is long, with spicy oak, dried fruit and a gentle sweetness.
