Eagle Rare 17 Year Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, in a 750ml bottle. This is the 2025 release, part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, and it is bottled at 50.5% ABV (101 proof). The bourbon has spent 17 years maturing, and the bottling strength lets the oak, dried fruit and leather come through without dilution being needed. The nose is toffee, dried fruit, leather, vanilla and a light floral note. On the palate there is dark cherry, caramel, worn leather, toasted oak and gentle spice. The finish is long and smooth, with dried fruit and oak lingering.
