Eagle Rare 17 Year Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, and the longest-aged bourbon in the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. This is the 2024 release, in a 75cl bottle.
It is bottled uncut and unfiltered at natural barrel proof, after seventeen years in new charred American oak, which gives a deep amber colour.
The nose offers dried fruit, aged oak and leather. The palate brings aged leather, honey sweetness, herbs and smoke, with the oak well integrated. The finish is long and dry, with oak and dried fruit.
