Egiazki Luzia Vermouth Blanc

Luzia is a white vermouth from the Egiazki house in the Basque Country, made on a base of white wine. Plants, spices and citrus are added through a controlled maceration, with the sugar kept moderate. The nose is led by lemon and cedrat, with white flowers and a hint of sweet spice. The attack is lively, and a light sweetness balances the vegetal bitterness while aromatic herbs emerge gradually. The texture stays fluid and the wine remains present. The finish is clean, with a lingering botanical bitterness and citrus zest returning. It suits an aperitif, served neat or over ice, and works in a Spritz or a white Americano.
