Elements of Islay Cask Edit Bourbon & Sherry Casks (70cl, 46%)

Cask Edit is an Islay blended malt from Elements of Islay, put together by Elixir Distillers and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. It is part of a new core range of standard bottlings. The malt comes from refill, bourbon and sherry casks. It pairs intensely smoky single malt from Islay's south coast with a fresher, fruitier style from the north. The nose has freshly brewed coffee with hot milk, sugared almonds and white chocolate truffle, with peat smoke and a fresh basket of fruit. The palate is sweet and mineral, with vanilla smoke, wood spice, fresh buttery croissants and fruity coffee. The finish is smoky and sweet, with lasting fruit.
