Elijah Craig 18-Year-Old Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill in Bardstown, matured for 18 years in new American white oak. It comes in a 75cl bottle. Each barrel is bottled on its own at its natural proof, so no two bottles are identical. The brand takes its name from the Reverend Elijah Craig, an 18th-century Baptist minister whom Kentucky tradition credits with inventing bourbon in 1789. The long years in Kentucky's seasonal swings of heat and cold are said to bring deep leather, dried fruit and oak, alongside caramel and vanilla drawn out of the wood.
