Elijah Craig Small Batch is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 47% ABV (94 proof) in a 70cl bottle. It is made from a mix of whiskies between eight and twelve years old, and has a brown, almost copper colour. The name comes from the Baptist minister said to have introduced ageing whisky in oak around 1700.
The nose is complex, with vanilla, soft sweet fruit and a small hint of mint. The palate turns more spicy, smooth and warm, with sharp oak, nutmeg and a light touch of smoke.
