English Whisky Co. 8 Year Old is an unpeated single malt from Norfolk, distilled in June 2016 and bottled in September 2024 as Batch SB-3-24. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, from an outturn of 1,236 bottles.
It matured entirely in first-fill oloroso sherry casks and is non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose brings raisins and plums with dark chocolate, caramel and a hint of roasted nuts. The palate is round and soft, with caramel and chocolate first, then oak spice, dried fruit and a little mocha. The finish is medium to long, with oak spice, dark chocolate and dried figs.
