Évadé is a peated single malt from France, made from peated malt that was grown, distilled and matured in the country. The peat is clearly present, dry and mineral. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The nose has distinct peat smoke, drier than many Islay whiskies, with grain, light ash, white pepper and a mineral freshness. The palate is taut and smoky, spicy and slightly medicinal, with a dry texture and little sweetness. The finish is medium to long, smoky and clean, with a lingering earthy note.
