Evan Williams Bottled in Bond (70cl, 50%)

A Kentucky straight bourbon bottled in bond, in a 70cl bottle at 50%. Bottled in bond means it comes from a single distillery and a single distilling season, and has matured for four years under government supervision. The mash bill is 78% corn, 12% malted barley and 10% rye, and the bourbon matured in new charred oak barrels. It is chill-filtered and has no added colour. Caramel leads the nose, with hints of vanilla, oak and barley. On the palate citrus meets vanilla and the spice of black pepper. The finish is long, warm and dry.
