The label records the barrel number, the date barreled and the year of bottling. The brand is named after Evan Williams, Kentucky's first licensed distiller, who began making whiskey along the Ohio River in 1783. The nose shows caramel, toasted oak, vanilla and hints of dried fruit. The palate has honey, toffee and spice, with a touch of orange peel and charred oak. The finish is long and warming, with lingering sweetness, cinnamon and oak smoke.
