Fercullen Single Malt is an Irish single malt in a 70cl bottle, distilled entirely at the Powerscourt Distillery in County Wicklow. It is made from malted barley, triple distilled, matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 46% without chill-filtration.
It was the first single malt fully distilled by Powerscourt, and the first from County Wicklow in more than a hundred years. Master Distiller Paul Corbett put the bottling together from the distillery's own matured whiskies, and the first 6,000 bottles were individually numbered.
Toffee, vanilla, apple and pear lead the nose, with baking spices. The palate brings vanilla cream, gentle oak and salted caramel, and the finish is warming, with oak spice and soft leather.
