Fettercairn 12 Year Old is a single malt matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Until recently it was rarely seen as a single malt.
The whisky has a tropical, fruity character. The distillery's founder, Sir Alexander Ramsay, was among the Scottish landowners who campaigned in the early 1800s for the distilling of Scotch whisky to be licensed.
