Founders Superb is an 8-year-old blended Scotch whisky from Findlater's, bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle by Findlater Mackie Todd & Co. Ltd. The label describes it as old oak matured and a product of Scotland.
The nose is rich and oily, with ripe exotic fruit, dried pear, citrus, beeswax and a mineral, damp-wool note recalling older Campbeltown styles, plus chocolate and cherry ice cream, nuts and raisin bread. The palate is oily and creamy, with raisins, milk chocolate, coffee and sweet spice. The finish is short to medium, with sponge cake, vanilla, a salty touch, leather and waxy wood bitterness.
