Findlater's Mar Lodge is an eight-year-old Scotch malt whisky, bottled at 43% by Findlater Mackie Todd & Co. in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is rich and decadent, with ripe exotic fruit, peach, waxy notes, creamy chocolate and raisins, plus a mineral, wet-wool hint in the manner of Campbeltown. The palate is oily and creamy, with nuts, honey, sponge cake, cherries, milk chocolate and fine spice such as white pepper. The finish is clean and short to medium, leaving vanilla, orange, biscuit and wax, with a slight, elegant bitterness at the end.
