Finlaggan Moscatel Single Cask #019 - Ember & Oak Cask Friends (70cl, 52%)

A single cask Islay malt bottled under the Finlaggan name by The Vintage Malt Whisky Company for Ember & Oak Cask Friends. The whisky from cask 019 was finished in a Moscatel sweet wine cask and bottled in November 2025 at 52%, in a run of 300 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The Moscatel finish adds caramel, dried fruit and juicy figs to a strong peat smoke, with toasted oak, dry ash, spice and an oily texture alongside. The nose is intense peat smoke with sweet caramel and dried fruit. On the palate, smoke and peat meet juicy figs, toasted oak and dry ash, with an oily texture. The finish is long and oily, with lingering smoke, fruity sweetness and spice.
