Florio Marsala Dry (75cl, 18%)

Florio Marsala Dry is a Sicilian fortified wine made at the Florio cellars beside the sea in the town of Marsala. It is blended from four indigenous white grapes, Grillo, Inzolia, Catarratto and Damaschino, fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel and then fortified. It matures for at least 18 months in Slovenian oak, in cellars where salty humidity and shifting coastal temperatures shape the wine. The nose brings raisins, dried fruit, honeycomb, vanilla and caramel. The palate is dry and full-bodied, with candied fruit, walnut and pinecone, and the finish is spicy and lingering with citrus peel and a faint brininess.
