Fonseca Late Bottled Vintage Port is a Port from Fonseca, a house known for Vintage Port since 1815. It has a very deep purple colour with a narrow magenta rim.
The nose is dark and brooding, with blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate, and fleeting plummy, balsamic notes as it opens. On the palate it has notable weight and volume, supported by thick, dense tannins. Blackberry jam and plum flavours carry into a very long finish.
