Four Gate Batch 25, named Port Andalusia Key, is a limited-edition Indiana straight rye whiskey aged for seven years. It is bottled at 57.65% in a 75cl bottle, and 3,735 bottles were filled.
The mashbill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley. After the initial seven years, the rye was finished in barrels that had first held Oloroso sherry in Andalusia and then dark rum in the Florida Keys.
The nose offers black pepper, citrus peel, dark molasses and roasted cashews. On the palate there is candied citrus, baking spices, raisins and maple syrup. The finish is medium, with pepper, maple, molasses and dark rum.
