Four Roses – 16 Year Old OESV Single Barrel Barrel Strength RN-63-6E Father's Day 2024 (75cl, 69.1%)

This is a 16 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Four Roses, a single barrel private selection chosen at the Visitor Center and released for Father's Day 2024. It is bottled at barrel strength, 69.1% ABV (138.2 proof), in a 750ml bottle. The back label is commemorative and signed by Master Distiller Brent Elliott. The barrel came from Warehouse RN, number 63-6E, and uses the OESV recipe: a mashbill of 75% corn, 20% rye and 5% malted barley, paired with the V yeast strain. The nose offers pear and apricot with caramel, deepened by oak. The palate is full, with corn sweetness and restrained rye, and the finish is long and warming with fruit running through an oak-driven close.
