Four Roses – Bourbon (70cl, 40%)

This is Four Roses bourbon from Kentucky, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. One of the mashes used has a higher rye content than any other bourbon, which gives a spicy, full-bodied whiskey with a long, soft finish. The makers have also paid a premium for high quality water and grains for the past 45 years. The nose is fruity and floral, with gentle spice and honey. The palate is crisp yet soft, with fresh fruit and hints of pear and apple, leading to a soft, smooth finish.
