This is the 2022 release of the Four Roses Limited Edition Small Batch, a barrel strength Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 109 proof. It is a blend of bourbons aged 14, 15 and 20 years, made from four different bourbon recipes. The nose is layered, with strawberry, red raspberry, brown sugar and maple under a strong oak presence. Dark raspberry and seasoned oak lead the palate, followed by allspice, vanilla extract and cinnamon. The finish is dominated by tannic oak, with clove, dark raspberry and strawberry lingering.
