Four Roses Single Barrel OBSK is a barrel-strength Kentucky bourbon from Lawrenceburg, bottled at 62.55% in a 750ml bottle. It is a private selection, aged 9 years and 3 months.
OBSK is the recipe combining the high-rye B mashbill (60% corn, 35% rye, 5% malted barley) with the K yeast strain, one of ten bourbon recipes at the distillery. The whiskey is aged in single-storey rack warehouses.
The nose has caramel, vanilla bean, baking spice and toasted oak, with dried herbs and dark fruit. The palate is thick and coating, with honey, caramel, rye spice, cinnamon, clove and black cherry. The finish is long, dry and warming, with spiced oak, hickory and a touch of tobacco.
