Four Roses – Single Barrel (70cl, 50%)

Four Roses Single Barrel is a straight bourbon from Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Each barrel is chosen individually by the master distiller and bottled on its own, at 50% (100 proof) after seven to nine years in new charred American oak. It is made to the OBSV recipe, which pairs the B mashbill of 60% corn, 35% rye and 5% malted barley with the fruit-leaning V yeast strain. The fairly high rye content adds a spicy, full-bodied character. The nose brings dried spices, pear, cocoa, vanilla and maple syrup. On the palate come ripe plum and cherry. The finish is soft, fine and long.
