Four Roses – Small Batch Limited Edition 2025 Release (54.5%)

This is the 2025 Limited Edition Small Batch from Four Roses, a bourbon released each year in a global production of around 20,000 bottles. It is bottled at barrel strength, 54.5% ABV. Four Roses works with five yeast strains rather than a single signature yeast, and this release leans mainly on the V strain, with a smaller share of K for a touch of spice. There is no age statement, but 90% of the blend was aged for 13 years and the remaining 10% for over 19 years. The nose offers brown sugar, cinnamon, red berries, cream cake, vanilla and caramel. The palate is berry-sweet, moving to vanilla, baking spice, ginger and charred oak, with a silky, oily texture. The finish is long, with brown sugar and sweet ginger candy.
