Fidelitas is a Barbados rum from Foursquare Distillery, distilled in 2004 and bottled at 55% vol in a 70cl bottle. It blends pot-still and column-still distillates.
The rum was aged on the island for 19 years in ex-Bourbon barrels, then given a further year in ex-Marsala wine casks. It is a small-batch release of 2,160 bottles.
The nose is richly nutty, lifted by sweet spices and citrus fruits. The palate is smooth and complex, with oak and coconut.
